Marksman Crossings

Marksman Crossings is a horizontal directional drilling (HDD) and directional boring contractor based in Red Deer, Alberta, serving Western Canada.

We drill HDBs, Typicals and Engineered crossings on four Vermeer rigs with pullback capabilities up to 242,100 lb, from shallow utility bores to large-diameter pipeline crossings. Survey, design, bore planning and steering are done in-house.

How we work We plan multiple routes before the rig lands. Our primary route targets the most expedited schedule with the lowest commercial impact, and our people, equipment and plan are built to scale if the crossing calls for it. Every 12 hours, your team gets vetted field data and the recommended path forward, weighed for risk and commercial impact. Close-out packages include detailed as-builts, ready for your project team, engineer and regulator.
