How the service works

Separate waste before loading the vehicle, then secure it with a tarp, net or tie-downs. The city applies a surcharge to unsecured loads and tells visitors to obey the scale-house instructions. Bring enough help to unload; site staff do not unload material for customers.

Children and pets must stay in the vehicle, smoking is prohibited and posted signs control the unloading areas. This page describes the one municipal facility and its source-listed material categories. It is not a complete catalogue of every private recycler or an approval to deliver a hazardous commercial load.

Lower-rate materials must be free of waste. A mixed load is charged according to the item with the highest tipping fee, so a small amount of garbage can change the rate.
